Helen's passion for designer wear began at the tender age of 11 years as a member of a family that created fashions just for fun and the challenge to design something extra-ordinary. Helen, who also operates a personal fitness training business called Bodycare, soon found herself blending her love of fitness and designer wear and began creating custom-designed clothing for her personal workouts at the gym. Her designs attracted a lot of attention, receiving compliments and inquiries from other women who wanted to purchase the tops, shorts and pants.
And so, Kreations was born. To this day, Helen maintains such supporters made the company as their demands for unique, high-quality sportswear motivated her to grow and develop the business. Requests also poured in for custom-made swimsuit designs, aquafit suits and posing suits for muscle builders to wear in competitions. Connections in the community, including her children's involvement in sports groups, resulted in design expansions into gymnastics and dance training design wear. You'll see her training outfits worn -- and sold -- in the best gyms and sporting clubs in the region.
Those who have worked with Helen quickly become loyal fans of her designs...her exquisite fabric choices and sewing construction are second-to-none. But they'll also attest to her talents for making every customer feel at ease. Shopping for swimsuits and sportswear is a personal experience, a task that can make the most confident person feel uneasy. After years of working with clients with different body types and sizes, Helen can help customers find complimentary design styles. Her philsophy centres on the belief that no one should be self-conscious about their body and there's a style to compliment any body type.
Helen is often inspired by clients who come with their own ideas or just a photo or sketch of a design. It's a delightful challenge to take a customer's ideas and use her design skills and knowledge of fabrics to make them a reality. "That's how the name Kreations came to be," says Helen. "It's a creation together."
